Dream house

Was fällt Euch an den Häusern auf, wenn Ihr durch die Straßen Eurer Heimat geht?

Ich sehe mittlerweile ein interessantes Bild: mediterrane Bauten, Häuser mit Pultdächern und dazwischen Anwesen in traditioneller Bauweise … – die Varianten sind auffallend zahlreich.

Allerdings hat sich bei uns dieses Bild erst in den letzten Jahren in dieser Form entwickelt. Bis zum Jahr 1994 mußte nämlich in unserer Region der jeweilige Kreisbaumeister jeden einzelnen Neubau absegnen und die Einhaltung der herkömmlichen Bauvorschriften war bis dato eine unabdingbare Voraussetzung. Um Kosten zu sparen, hat man diese Funktion jedoch den Städten/Gemeinden übertragen, die offenbar wesentlich entspannter mit Baugenehmigungen umgehen, womit dem eigenen Traumhaus, auch wenn es nicht der üblichen Bautradition entspricht, jetzt nichts mehr im Wege steht.

Diese Mischung der Baustile findet jedoch hier nicht jedermanns Zustimmung und es werden durchaus Stimmen laut, die von einer Verschandelung unserer Städte und Dörfer sprechen, und welche wieder einheitliche, der Bauweise unserer Region entsprechende, Vorschriften fordern. Diejenigen, die jedoch zum Beispiel im toskanischen Stil - und ich lebe nicht in der Toskana - bauen möchten, haben natürlich absolut kein Interesse daran, dass die alten Regelungen wieder gelten, da sie ihr Traumhaus ansonsten nicht mehr verwirklichen könnten.

Wie sieht Euer Traumhaus denn aus? Würdet Ihr dies eher in dem traditionellen Stil Eurer Region bauen oder seid Ihr hier für Neuerungen offen? Würde es bei Euch von Baugenehmigungsseite her Einschränkungen geben?

What do you recognize when you go through the streets in your homeland?

I have an interesting view: mediterranean buildings, constructions with lean-to roof beetween estates in traditional architecture and much more.

But this view has developed primely in the last years. Because until the year 1994 the responsible building master for our county has to authorize each new building and there was the strict demand to observe the rules for building in traditional architecture. But in order to save costs this function was given to the administration of the cities/communities. It seems that they are much more relaxed to give a building licence than the building master of the counties and now it´s much easier to build the own dream house even if it isn´t planned by traditional architecture.

But not everybody is happy about this mix of different architecture. Some people are speaking form disfigurement of our landsape and want to come back to the unique, traditonal architecture. But this people which want to build their dreamhouse in another style, e. g. in a tuscan style (and we don´t live in the Tuscany) don´t want to go back to the old rules, because in this case they can´t achieve their dream house.

How does your dream house look? Do you want to build this in the traditional architecture of your region or are you open for new ideas? Are there some restrictions in building licences?
